The Awesome We-Vibe Sync

 

After our disappointment with the We-Vibe Jive we were apprehensive about buying another We-Vibe product, and then we saw the Sync on Lovehoney. It looked good and it had good reviews, after a fair amount of research investigating any potential issues (in particular those with connectivity) we took the plunge and we are both glad that we did.
We purchased the Sync back in March 2019 so we have had it a while now, it normally comes out on special occasions or when we have time to really relax and enjoy ourselves. It is particularly fun when used to tease while we watch porn.
 

App
The app is pretty good, it was easy to pair with both of our phones and it seems to maintain the connection even months later. The various modes and functions are easy to use and understand. It should be noted that you can do quite a lot with the Sync, for example it is possible to run the clitoral and g-spot vibrators different rhythms and speeds. This has never caused any confusion or issues and makes play varied and fun.
We have tried the long distance control feature which worked perfectly unlike the Jive. It is not a feature we use regularly and we could see potential issues where one of you has an unstable internet connection. But this has never been a problem for us.
 

Connectivity
Our biggest worry when we bought this toy were connection issues, this was due the problems we had with the Jive but this toy has restored our faith in We-Vibe. We have only experienced problems on two occasions. The first was an issue with the Jive interfering with the connection trying to bump the Sync off this was solved by turning the Jive off and throwing it in the draw. The second was with it suddenly stopping, this turned out to be a flat battery but we had been using it for just over 90 minutes…….
The included remote has never been used as you can use more of the features with your phone but it is a nice little back up if all else fails. The range is pretty good and it has never been an issue during play, Alrik has even successfully tested it while Anna was upstairs and he was downstairs. We both have Samsung phones and it works well on these but we can’t vouch for other manufacturers.
 

Feel and play
Now initially we thought the feel of the silicone coating on this toy was pretty good but (and it is only a slight but) we have had better. The Lovehoney Dream Rabbit that we own and previously reviewed is for us the gold standard for feel, but this is close second.
The toy is adjustable allowing you to mould it to your body. This ensures good contact with both your clit and g-spot allowing you to stimulate them in turn or together, it also means the toy is completely hands free. It is fun to play with in the bath as it is completely submersible just be careful not to drop your phone.
This isn’t a toy Anna would naturally reach for when she is looking to play solo (see the LH Dream Rabbit Review) but is great to play with as a couple. The sensations generated are great and you are sure to find one you like for both you clitoris and g-spot, a particularly good feature is the Touch mode that allows you vary the speed of vibrations just by running your finger over the screen of your phone. You can even use beat mode to time it to music or create your own vibration patterns.
One really fun thing to try is to have your partner enter you while it is fitted, you can also use a dildo but it needs to be smooth and not rubbery. This is great fun increasing the pressure the toy applies to the g-spot and allows you both to share the vibrations. Word of warning though have lube on standby and he with need to exercise control or you might find it popping out.
Finally once you have had your fun clean it off, dry it and then place it back into its smart holder with cover to discreetly recharge.


Public play
Now this isn’t something that we have attempted but the toy does seem to lend itself to it. We would be a little concerned about the noise however particularly at the higher end of the vibration scale. Also we’re not convinced 90 minutes is really enough for a whole evening…… but it could be a nice warm up!

Conclusion
The We-Vibe Sync is frankly brilliant and a vast improvement over the Jive. We would buy another in heart beat if we needed one. While writing this review we have found ourselves nit picking and pushing the limits to try and find issues but honestly we are struggling to find any. At an RRP of £159.99 it is a little pricy but it is reasonable when you consider all its features. We can whole heartedly recommend the We-Vibe Sync and give it 5 out of 5 stars.
